Edcom sells both consumer and professional grade LCD and Plasma displays. The key distinction between professional and consumer displays is thier operation time capability. Consumer grade displays are not designed to run indefinitely 24 hours a day; this makes them inappropriate for applications like digital signage. Here is a limited list of some featured manufacturers of both consumer and professional displays.
Panasonic specializes in Plasma displays, these are more suited to video because of their rich colour and depth of contrast. Panasonic is simply the best value in plasma displays: a good quality product at a surprisingly low price point.
Mitsubishi is one of our primary LCD brands. LCDs are more suited to data display because of their precision and clarity. Mitsubishi offers the best resolution and clarity of any display.
Samsung is another popular LCD manufacture. LCDs are preferred for digital signage because of their reliability in long periods of operation. Samsung‘s LCDs are best suited to digital signage because they have the narrowest bezel (frame surrounding the screen) in the industry. Samsung also offers a dedicated digital signage product that combines a windows-base system and LCD display in one unit.
